Associate, Business Development Operations (Ref. #6099)
Responsible for day-to-day trade operations, account management, reconciliation and supporting team development and operational efficiency. Notify, allocate and follow the settlement of trades across equities, fixed income, and other securities; monitor trade discrepancies and resolve breaks with counterparties; coordinate with clearing firms and counterparties for timely resolution, ensure accurate transaction posting and reconciliation. Handle cash processing, corporate actions, and asset transfers; maintain client account records and documentation; perform reconciliations between internal systems and custodian. Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate operational risk, ensure adherence to firm policies and procedures. Support internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and periodic compliance reviews. Collaborate with tech teams to resolve system issues and implement enhancements; manage data feeds and system integration with custodian; oversee cybersecurity updates. Provide updates of trades and settlements status, respond to inquiries on trade issues, including settlement, cash movements, and corporate actions. Provide guidance to clients on operational procedures, required forms, and deadlines. Analyze workflows to improve scalability and efficiency, lead change management initiatives and process optimization. Standardize procedures and documentation across teams to ensure consistency and compliance.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience. Required skills: data management and analysis; data privacy and compliance protocols; risk management; broker-dealer operations, including trade processing, settlement, and clearing workflows; understanding of margin requirements, risk controls, and credit exposure management; handling transactions, notifications, settlements, reconciliations, and reporting; fluent in Spanish; SIE and Series 99TO licenses within 1 year of employment.
The required skill set does not need to be maintained over the full term of experience.
