Franco Uccelli is head of Macro Research and Strategy, where he is responsible for formulating and communicating to clients a cohesive and comprehensive vision of the firm’s global macroeconomic and international market views.

Franco previously served as Executive Director of Latin American Investment Strategy at J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank, Executive Director of Emerging Markets Research at J.P. Morgan’s Investment Bank and Managing Director of Emerging Markets Research at Bear Stearns. He started his professional career in the financial services industry in Miami more than 25 years ago, where he worked for international banks and held various positions in international credit.

Franco has published several academic articles and has been ranked by Institutional Investor (II) as one of the top analysts for Chile and has won FocusEconomics Best Economic Forecaster Awards for Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.

Franco holds a BA in Economics and Latin American Studies from Brandeis University, as well as an MA in Latin American Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MA in Comparative Politics from The University of Texas at Austin. He has also completed the coursework for a PhD in International Studies from the University of Miami.
